Elim Ladies Team

We have had a really busy but exciting week which really started properly on Tuesday when a team of ten ladies led by Elim Missions very own double act Mandy Campbell and Linda Murray.   We are very blessed to have 10 completely different ladies from different areas of the UK come together and experience the work here in Cambodia.

With the best tuk tuk driver in Cambodia

On Tuesday after they had settled into the hotel they came to our centre, met some of the village ministry team as we shared our journey so far, talking about God’s great blessings on the work of Elim Cambodia.    The ladies then met those in the Be Free program followed up with a visit to the Early Learning Centre, where the children sang some welcome songs.  As usual the baby room was the most popular place. Just before we headed back to the hotel we joined with the staff and sang happy birthday to Mrs A!

On Wednesday after devotions in Be Free we went to the Russian market and then in the afternoon most of the team visited Tuol Sleng Genocide museum, while Mandy and Linda went shopping for ‘Shop with Integrity’. This is a really important part of Elim missions and along with the Be Free products SWI raises money for all areas of missions life.  If you would like a pack for your church please contact Mandy in the Elim missions office. The team took the prayer meeting in the evening and there was such a sense of the Holy Spirit as we spent time together in prayer and worship.

On Thursday we went to Toul K’day and had a wonderful time together sharing our heart’s vision and passion for church planting. We then had kids club with about 100 children, the team did really well with Rachel telling the story of Samuel, she had two great actresses helping her in Amanda Blount and Annie Skett. After lunch we met with the church where we all had another blessed time and Evelyn brought a word Gayle shared her testimony and Helen Yousaf led us in some awesome worship. It was such a lovely time, blessed beyond words!

Friday was busy with the team taking devotions in Be Free, then a quick browse at Central market followed by a visit to Bloom for a cupcake.  You can’t come to Cambodia without sampling the best cupcakes in the world!  The team then returned to Elim to prepare for the ladies conference which is taking place as I write this.  Some of the ladies from Cardiff City Temple went out in the tuk tuk and bought more resources and toys for the ELC we are very thankful for everything that was bought!  Janice took another craft masterclass in Be Free with 3 novice sewers joining in.

The women had an incredible day at their conference!

We have had a wonderful week.  It has been such a blessing renewing friendships and establishing new relationships, it’s not over yet please pray as we have church tomorrow that God will really speak to hearts and we will see many lives changed!

We have decided to take a break for a few weeks from the blog but it will return on Saturday 26th November thanks as always for your love and support!
